A graduate of Concordia University and founder of SpartanFit, Sensei Pascal Déry benefits from more than 25 years of experience and is undoubtedly one of the best show jumping instructors in the country.
A NCCP level 3 trainer with the World Obstacle Federation, he was the 1st expert instructor Canadian certified by Spartan Race and has completed a multitude ofsporting achievementsincluding a 3rd degree black belt in karate-kenpo, as well as completion of the Spartan DeltaThis is a tribute to the success of all levels of Spartan racing and training.

A leader dedicated to the advancement of his discipline, Sensei Pascal is president of the Fédération des sports d'obstacles du Québec and a committee member of the Canadian Obstacle Sports Federation (Obstacle Sports Canada). In collaboration with Pentathlon Canada, he contributes to the educational and institutional development of show jumping in Canada.
As a result of its efforts, SpartanFit was awarded Olympic development center status in the fall of 2024: the Julievill-based company will help prepare the modern pentathlon athletes who will represent Canada at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.
At the same time, Sensei Pascal is the creator of the very first obstacle-study program in the country. Offered at École secondaire De Mortagne in Boucherville, the Kompra Obstacle Club curriculum stimulates the development of its student-athletes by promoting the overcoming of adversity.



Community involvement is a priority for Sensei Pascal. As a result, SpartanFit regularly organizes fundraising events for the Children's Wish Foundation - Make-A-Wishparticipates in the active life of the City of Sainte-Julie and oversees the Serpento Program in collaboration with the House of mutual aid. This latest initiative provides access to physical activity for young people from low-income families.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and human development, Sensei Pascal has also set up the adventure races Warrior Enduranceand motivational podcasts Sensei Says Podcast (English) and 2 coffees with Sensei (French).
A passionate adventurer, he is constantly on the lookout for new challenges and higher peaks to conquer: in 2023, he reached the highest peak in the continental USA, Mount Whitney, at over 14,500 feet.
Sensei Pascal's vocation is to push people beyond their perceived limits, motivate them to achieve their full individual potential and help them improve their lives.

After a tough 12-hour assessment, Pascal received his black belt in karate-kenpo.

Mont Tremblant challenges Pascal's limits in his 1st obstacle course.

Trifecta
Pascal completes 5k, 10k and 21k obstacle courses and earns his 1st Trifecta.

Canadian Champion
In Ottawa, Pascal wins the gold medal at the Canadian Karate Championships.

Sensei
After more than a decade of dedication, Pascal has earned the honorary title of "Sensei".

Ultra
After 13 hours of hard work, Pascal crossed the finish line of a 50km obstacle course.

Worlds
Pascal wins silver for Canada at the World Karate Championships.

Extreme Survival
After 72 hours of sleep-deprived overtaking, Pascal completes the extreme "Agoge" test.

Marathon runner
Despite the rain, Pascal completes the 42.2 km Rimouski Marathon run.

Military endurance
Pascal successfully completes the 12-hour GoRuck Tough military endurance race.

High altitude
At over 14,500 feet, Sensei Pascal reached the highest peak in the continental USA.
